Family Worship

We encourage all households at Providence Church to remember that worship does not only happen when we gather for corporate worship, it should also happen as we go to the Lord individually and as families. In family worship, we suggest the head of household lead the family through four simple steps: praise through song, Bible reading and discussion, memorization work (Scripture or the Westminster Standards), and finally corporate prayer.

While this practice was the standard in the church for centuries, it has fallen by the wayside in our contemporary church. It is our belief this is leading to a weakened church and societal decay.

To assist Christian households in rediscovering this practice, we provide these weekly Family Worship Guides. These are available free of charge below.

May the Lord richly bless you as you worship Him in your homes.
